Exhibition of the contemporary Zimbabwean sculpture in the Botanical Garden in Troja started by an opening on 3 July 2013 and lasted until 1 September 2013. The exhibition was accompanied by a cultural program called African summer. During four weekends visitors of the botanical gardens could take part in drumming and dance workshops, listen to the concert of the Zimbabwean singer Manex Motsi or within sculpture Workshop they could carve their first sculpture.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Her Excellency Franki Verwey, a new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in the Czech Republic.
